Michael Grisanti

Michael Grisanti began teaching at The Master’s Seminary in 1997. He is the Distinguished Research Professor of Old Testament, chair of the Old Testament department, and leads the Israel Studies program at TMS. He completed his MDiv and ThM degrees at Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Plymouth, MN) and his PhD at Dallas Theological Seminary in Old Testament Studies and Semitics.

He and his wife, Martha Ann, have been married for 44 years. God has blessed them with eight children, three daughters-in-law, and nine grandchildren. Dr. Grisanti is involved in the leadership of an Adult Bible Fellowship as well as discipleship at Grace Baptist Church in Santa Clarita, CA.

Dr. Grisanti is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, Near Eastern Archaeological Society, American Society of Overseas Research, Institute for Biblical Research, and the Society of Biblical Literature. He has written a commentary on Deuteronomy (revised EBC series), co-authored The World and the Word, and is working on a History of Ancient Israel with a colleague at The Master’s University along with a few other resources. He has also written several journal articles and essays. He leads several trips to Israel each year.
